-ROARS TO THE HEAVENS- I HAVE RETURNED FOR A NIGHT MAYBE TWO.
[murder meme] Dalen hadn’t known the admiral all that well, but he knew a good man when he saw one. So when he’d found the man that had reduced him to a bloody pile of useless flesh, the salarian made certain not to call C-Sec, or at least not right away. He wanted to have his way with the bastard first, before anyone else got to touch him.
It only took about an hour or so before Dalen stepped back from his activity and gave the proper authorities a ring. ”And you may want to send an ambulance,” he added after giving them the appropriate information, glancing down at the bruised, broken, bleeding, and then some heap on the ground barely clinging to life at his feet. He paused for them to speak. ”Yes, yes. He fell down some stairs.”
Dalen nodded. ”I’ve heard a little of the N7… thing. Mostly because Commander Shepard wears it all over the place. Looked it up. I like knowing things.” He laughed a bit sheepishly. ”I would be fine with working with them… though I should warn you, I was never really trained in how to work with a group. It was always either operating alone or… with one other person.” Oh no. He was not going get upset over that here. No matter how much he missed his brother, Rheez was one of them now, at least as far as he had to be concerned to keep himself alive. It hurt, but there was no helping it.
He took a slow, deep breath, doing his best to shove any sort of unhappiness far enough now that it wouldn’t show. ”In any case,” he went on, hopeful that changing the subject would prevent any further motions towards becoming visibly upset, “It would probably be best if I just answered questions now. After all, I have no idea what you want to know - if you leave my to do it myself, the information you get might be completely useless.”
“The N7’s are our best operatives. It’s only fitting Shepard wear it on her armor.” Once upon a time he had considered joining the N7’s but old war injuries anew responsibilities had forced him to step back from front line duty. “They can pair you up with one of the men, and the two of you can either work with the rest of them team or by yourselves. I’ll leave it to you and your partner to figure it out.” Hackett trusted the N7 operative and Dalen enough to allow the two of them some freedom. It was what they were trained for after all. Or so he hoped.
“Answering my questions now does seem like the best of options.” He agreed and leaned forwards a fraction. “But first, would you like something to eat? This might take a while and I’d like to have something myself. I’m afraid it’s been rather chaotic this morning, and I haven’t had time to take care of myself.”
