Don’t Let Go, Daddy [Murdered Meme]

Don’t let go now, daddy…

The War could fucking wait. There was someone out there she needed to kill. Garrus had tried to stop her, citing that she’d done the same for him when he’d went after Sidonis. She’d turned on him, screaming, ‘HE WAS LIKE MY FATHER!’ The turian had had no words then, seeing the pain in Maggie’s eyes.

Don’t let go..

It’d not taken long to find the cheap Blue Suns assassin someone had hired. How the human had taken the Admiral out, no-one would ever know. All Maggie knew was that she’d lost both fathers in the span of six months, whilst still being raw from the first one.

Your little girl isn’t ready…

She’d found his corpse in his home on the Citadel, a shot through the stomach. Messily done, with no care for the condition of the body. Maggie had sobbed, fallen to her knees next to him and held his lifeless form against her as she cried. Never fast enough, never, to save those she loved.

To do this on my own.

Gently she’d taken his hat and placed it back on his head, hot tears sliding down her cheeks. And she’d taken her pistol, and went on a hunt. The bullet wound was fresh; Hackett had only been dead maybe half an hour before she’d arrived. So she tracked down the target using her Spectre codes to pinpoint any new Blue Suns arrivals that weren’t here already.

It’s more than a little bit scary…

When she’d found him, he’d been in Chora’s Den. Laughing. Bragging. About murdering the Alliance Admiral. He was drunk, and boasting to the girls who simpered and tittered. She’d just lost the second of the two strongest men she’d ever knew, and they were laughing. Why? Didn’t they know? Didn’t they care?

How are you to know?

She remembered shoving him bodily against the wall outside the club, back in the alley where she’d first met Tali’Zorah. He drunkenly tried to shove her off, and she easily blocked or dodged his sloppy punches. Shepard toyed with him; like a cat with a mouse, she’d let him get away before biotically stopping him and pulling him back to drop him on his ass.

I’ll never be okay now, daddy..

Finally, she’d had her fun. The sick laughter had died down to silent staring, with a muted frown on her lips. Eventually she spoke,

“You took my second father away from me. How many people have you killed for money? How many.. how many husbands have you killed? Fathers, brothers? Sisters, mothers?” she examined the gun as she talked, idly shooting both his legs so he couldn’t get away. His screams made her smile,

“Well.. I hope you know you’ve done yourself proud.. it’s not every day someone gets shot by Commander Shepard.. ” her gun leveled on the man’s head, and he begged her. Tears poured from his eyes as he clawed at her hand.

“Oh, you want my hand?” Shepard purred, leaning forward. Settling  on one knee before him, she put her hand against his face,

“Gladly!” she shoved her hand forward, biotics flaring as the blue light slammed into his skull, smashing it into pieces. Blood splattered four feet up the wall, and onto her face. He didn’t squirm anymore. Damn, she was hoping some nerves would be alive, at least.

Standing, she left the body be as she rounded the corner, crying silently as she walked.

Please don’t go…
